An impressionist view of the Rudbeckias from my car window. I was supposed to go and photograph a friend's rather posh car after 4pm because she wants to sell it. My friend lives in Stroud but her son lives just up the road from me and posh car is on his drive. My instructions were that friend's son would be home after 4.30 pm, which is exactly the time when the rain started, so the car's photoshoot will have to wait until a drier day.
We're off again in 'Matilda' tomorrow to the Gliding Club for the Club's annual Task Week ......... A week long of mainly members inter-club competitions: which teams/syndicates can do the longest set cross-country routes in fastest times, who can fly the highest, and who can stay up the longest, are just a few of the tasks which will be set over the coming week, which if the weather forecast is correct, will probably be a wet one meaning that some, if not many of the tasks, will have to be scrubbed. Fingers crossed that the weather surprises us. In any event I'm packing lots of wet-weather gear, of course, and lots of wet-weather activities to while away my time at least!
