Spectral arc

Woke just before sunrise this morning and from the deck as it extends cliffwards, I was able to take the photo I have included as an extra for today. 

Then, leaving the boys being quiet for Granny, I went down the steps to Southend of Snells Beach , and around the point to Our Beach (as it is known by many different families who regard it somewhat proprietorally). As I paused to look back towards the village of Snells Beach, I saw a rainbow getting steadily brighter as the rain clouds approached.
