Low-flying

This lovely little piwakawaka, was flitting about on and just over the lawn when we visited S' cousin (so that Mr H and Young L could play table tennis in his shed; which is farm-sized). I presume that this was because post thunderstorm rain and hail, there was a veritable feast of small creatures just above the grass. Never the easiest bird to capture in a photo, as they move so fast and almost continuously, this was the best opportunity I have had.
