Airport Breakfast

A long and boring day - we were up early and at the airport by 7.30am where we had breakfast, and then got our flight to Nairobi. We always fly British Airways as Gavin uses them exclusively for business travel and so we benefit from his frequent flyer air miles. They are not half as good as they used to be but their lounges are very good - as can be seen by the breakfast we had - and they do fly to numerous destinations from London. Another benefit is that they often upgrade us and today all four of us got upgraded which was a nice treat - it made the boring day time flight of 8.5 hours seem better.

What a waste of a day - I read a great deal and watched two movies - Beauty and the Beast and some other mindless romcom. We were met at the airport by the travel  company's agent and taken to our hotel -it looks lovely but we are only here for one night. We arrived late and the kind staff still greeted us with a welcome drink and had kept the kitchen open so we could order dinner. We have just finished supper and now it is bedtime as we are up again at 5am (yikes, that is in 4.5 hours time) tomorrow morning to be taken to another airport for our flight in a small plane to Amboseli, our first conservancy that we are visiting. 

I certainly hope that tomorrow I can upload something far better than our breakfast!
