Loch Achray

Today's the day ....................... to relax

What a difference a day makes!  I've put a picture of the stream from yesterday as it was when we woke up this morning. 

An altogether much calmer day - perfect for a walk round the end of Loch Achray to look across to Tigh Mor, our home for the week.  Will has painted it here.  We've been coming here for the past thirty years and it is interesting to see how things have changed over that time.  The upper hillsides have been practically cleared of the Forestry Commission coniferous trees - to allow a much more varied landscape of the natural broadleaved trees that would have been here. There's now a new car park - and a new route to the summit - of Ben A'an, the little peak on the left of the picture.
