Firing Bricks

I arrived today at the Taweni farmers co-op to find the group firing 25.000 bricks for a new house on this 23 acre farm.
I was taking them to look at a new version of our water pump which has the ability to pump water uphill. It is a major development for irrigation and was spearheaded by William and Harisen in the factory.

We gave it its maiden voyage and it is really amazing. The prototype has some steel tube but not for long, we'll be back to all plasticsoon, explains William who is so excited about it that he worked on it yesterday, Sunday.

Finally , imagine putting sticks and logs into the kiln when the mid day temperature was well into the thirties!!
