A Precarious Picnic at the Precipice

There were 13 ducks on top of the spillway. With that unlucky number, it seems like one of them would lose their footing, and go over the edge (it is a 12-15 foot slanted drop.) But, with my camera at the ready, not one of them took the plunge. (When they do go over, they just start the wings to save themselves.)

They must have some pretty good strength in their legs. You can see by that front web that the water is still flowing good...but still they held fast.

It's strange this time of year when the males lose that brilliant green that usually covers their head.

The green stuff that they dip for must be pretty good to have 13 ducks having a precarious picnic.
