Sheringham

We were all up bright and early this morning with no thanks to our air bed going flat and leaving us to sleep on the floor for half the night! After a quick breakfast we made our way down to the campsite swimming pool. We had a good splash around and had the place mostly to ourselves.

We spent the afternoon in Sheringham. James used to spend lots of childhood holidays here and remembers it fondly. We came across a toy shop that he and his siblings used to visit. Not much has changed in 20+ years but now it was Phoebe and xanders turn to spend their holiday money in there.

We had a delicious lunch in a pub overlooking the sea and enjoyed the live music before heading to see the steam trains. We were allowed in the station and xander was in his element watching the engines come and go.

There was just enough time to have ice creams and skim some stones on the beach before heading back to the campsite for tea. I was quite proud of my campsite cooking skills and managed to serve up tacos with cous cous and salad. Not bad on a single gas ring!
