Skies the limit
Today I took a trip out into the Lincolnshire wolds to search out some derelict satellite dishes. The are based near Stenigot. the site is all fenced off but you can get really close by walking along a nearby public footpath.
RAF Stenigot was part of a vital early warning system during World War II
Giant 60ft dishes helped RAF intercept Nazi bombing raids
Site in Lincolnshire was a vital NATO communications link during Cold War
Now the radar dishes have been allowed to crumble in a field
A few other shots can be seen HERE I have included an extra of a bit of graffiti that made me smile.
After here I then took a drive over to Mablethorpe as it was a lovely sunny day to enjoy some nice fish & chips along with an Ice lolly and doughnuts not all at once may i add and a nice relaxing stroll along the beach.
