Jolly lunchtime shenanigans
Predictably late and slow start to the day. Kids did mainly manage to rouse themselves sufficiently for playing in the pool. We focused on important grown up things like where we were going to have lunch. There is a new place that looks great but unfortunately is not open on Wednesdays so we'll have to add that to the list of things to look forward to next year.
Instead we returned to the lovely place we saw the flamenco last week. Beautifully situated and great food. Slightly random service but mainly because they were understaffed for how incredibly busy they were. We can only hope their popularity was a surprise to them and they will recruit more staff. The poor man who was running around helping us will certainly hope so.
Informal entertainment turned up at the end of the meal with this very cheerful hombre who not only played also made Anna an origami flamenco dancer from a napkin and did a magic trick for our friend's son.
Home for a much needed siesta followed by pool, barbecued steak and corn, the end of the Scrabble game and now to slide gently into the late evening with drinks, chocolate and chat.
For the record I will note that J needed most of the day to recover from yesterday and didn't make it to lunch. But most importantly he did make the afternoon pool session and the evening.
