Mum & Dad's Grave

The cemetery where my Mum & Dad are buried is about 100 yards from the hotel we stayed in overnight. We took the opportunity to visit their grave this morning; sadly, living as far away as we do, we don't get there as often as we should so it was good to see that, apart from a rather lopsided headstone, it was looking neat and tidy.

From there, we headed to Elmer's End for Tess's Mum's friend's funeral so it's been a rather sad day all round. I'd like to think that my Mum & Dad would be happier knowing that I think of them often and smile at the memories rather than make regular 300 mile round trips to stand at their grave side.

Back home now with all sorts of memories buzzing round our heads.
