Waiting to leave

What a busy ferry this one was - an overload for sure!  Thank goodness I wasn't going on it.  These are some of the foot passengers waiting to board.  I liked the obvious affection between two in the foreground and also how the older woman was interested in something in the water.
New people (renters) will be moving in next door at the beginning of October, and they dropped in this morning to introduce themselves.  One is an airline pilot (Air Canada), and she's been one for 30 years.  We talked about the smoke from the wild fires, and I said that she must have seen it from the air.  She said it was up to 12,000 feet!  Wow!
