The Shibden Valley!

The latest challenge from BlipCommunity encouraged us to get thinking about how to showcase our little corner of the world. The places you wouldn't really find in tourist brochures, those areas of the beaten track which can be tapped into using that all important local knowledge. 

Today my blip shows the stunning Shibden Valley as seen from the top of the hill five minutes from my front door. It shows the beautiful green hills in all their glory, looking particularly fantastic in the glorious sunshine of this morning. I am incredibly lucky to be treated to a (lower level!!) view of this valley every single day from my front room and bedroom windows. 

The Shibden Valley provides the setting for countless walks along the many bridleways and great rural lanes for cycling. Oh and if you fancy a cuppa in a cosy pub, you could always pop in the Shibden Mill Inn. 

It is fair to say, this area of the world is a special little gem!
