Klezmerata Fiorentina

Back blipping.

On a day that we were told was "the hottest this year" we took a boat up the river to Jurmala. It took 2 and a half hours. It seemed that every other Latvian, along with his wife and kids, was also there. The beach was really crowded, though that wasn't a problem for us.

We took a leisurely walk, then had a late lunch, before escaping to a shady spot in the park, to people watch for a couple of hours.

We had done some internet investigating before leaving the UK, and found a concert that sounded interesting, so with the help of the Riga Information Bureau, we had booked tickets.

Klezmerata Fiorentina were stunningly expert musicians, well worth checking out on YouTube. And afterwards we caught the last train back to Riga, a much quicker journey, despite stopping at many stations.

But it was a long day, I slept till after 10 this morning!
