Room View

The stone, wood, and ironwork shown in this view from our hotel room is very typical of the materials used throughout Morelia. They are especially prevalent in the old buildings around the square. Our hotel was a originally a house built in the 1700's. It is now an upscale hotel, where on a previous trip we are certain we saw the president of Mexico having breakfast, whose rooms have modern amenities while maintaining those ties to its history. Very fun to splurge while in the big city.
