Home for the next week
Back blip
We headed for Starbucks for breakfast as they have the fastest free Wifi that we have found. A chance to catch up with R and share the news, she sounds to be steadily recovering.
A walk down to Canada Place to see the ship that we are joining for the next 7 days and a chance to get a picture.
Back to the hotel to gather the gear, check out and head down to board.
The process was so slick and speedy up until we got to border control. They announced that there were computer problems. We took a seat and waited….waited….and waited.
There were 2 queues, one for USA & Canadian citizens, the other for “others” (Us) . The first moved quite quickly, whereas our queue spent 90 minutes sat on seats and another 30 minutes to walk about 100 yards. We were leaving Canada and on boarding the ship we were sailing to Alaska (ie entering the USA). Needless to say the ship was late sailing.
We are booked for any time dining, so look forward to meeting lots of new people. There appear to be very few British passengers on board.
