Wasdale Barley (Day 828)
It has been a busy day.
An emergency call out this morning again showed the importance of knowing where and how to turn off the water supply to a house. Running around trying to find it as your ceiling meets the carpet is never really the best time. Having sorted the leak, I returned home and collected the dogs for a sunny walk at Wasdale. I liked the way the wind rippled through the barley on the slope above the loch.
Back home and at a bit of a loose end for the afternoon, I thought I would have a go at putting my beautiful wife's motorbike back together. I have been struggling with it on and off for a while, and was thinking I was going to have to ask someone else for assistance. Surprisingly I managed to overcome the problem I was having, and, by the time HV returned from work, I had the bike running for the first time in a long time. A successful afternoon. I do enjoy a bit of tinkering in the garage :)
