On the beach again

In contrast to last night when I was down on the beach with the choir, tonight I walked past a group of people playing Ultimate. I stopped and took a few pictures and got into conversation with one of the players who explained the basics. It's a sort of cross between netball and American football played with a frisbee. It seems to be a very social game, mostly self-refereed and she said that players mark their opposite number at the end of the game in terms of how well they played the game. Too low a score and you get a bit of a ticking off, maybe even dropped from the squad for the next game. This was just a social game and the teams changed after every point, with people swapping sides. It looked like fun, and you could soon pick out the better players as they found space to receive the frisbee, made spectacular catches or accurate passes.
