Celebrating the Birthdays

Two friends turned 70 within two weeks. I made a cake for the one, so I made a cake for the other one, too. Donna is a knitting librarian who has a special fondness for lighthouses and just bought a new car. 
Tickled as I was to do this, working with fondant in hot, hot weather was not easy: the first little car melted, see the extra. I've had it; all the remaining bits of frosting are in the freezer, I'll find another way to acknowledge major birthdays.
