Sea Week

We seem to be avoiding the deluges, unlike many other parts of the country. Bexhill Sailing Club sea week is going off without too much bother this year - unlike so many other years when it's a total wash-out. What is it with August weather in this country?
I had a go at sailing a couple of years ago but spent more time swimming than sailing.
