Oyster Catchers
Today we walked along the track that runs between the golf course and the sea. The tide had started to come in and the rain had disappeared.
Oyster Catchers and pied stilts were the birds of the day. First two oyster catchers flew into the sheltered area where the tide was creeping across the sand. It is noticeable now that the birds are starting to pair up.
Next, if you look at the first extra, a small group of pied stilts flew in to join friends and family. It amused me the way one is looking left, one is looking right and the middle one is looking straight ahead.
The third extra shows all the pied stilts on the sand bar. I like the way the birds reflections make a fringe across the bottom edge. On the far side of the bar is the sea.
