Walking...

but not for long.  She was ahead of me on the road, hitchhiking.  A van passed her, slowed down like it was going to stop to pick her up, then sped away.  I caught up with her and we commented on how strange it was that the van didn't stop.  She wondered if the driver recognized her and decided not to bother!  I stopped to take a photo of the sign in the extra, and a few seconds later, a truck stopped and she hitched a ride. 
Work on the road was suspended on July 19 "...due to rock acquisition."  It's supposed to resume mid-August.  We'll see.  It's only been 6 months since my first blip of the damage.
