The Matterhorn

The weather forecast was fairly good for this morning so a group of us decided to take the mountain rack railway from Zermatt at 1604m above sea level, to the summit of the Gornergrat ... the world's 10th highest railway elevation at 3090m.

Wonderful views of the Matterhorn appearing through the clouds as we began our ascent. Fabulous views the whole way up and then at the top the only word to use is awesome!
