Back home

Well I arrived back home last night after nine days on the road with a couple of dozen Americans. The weather was a great deal better than the forecast suggested and we were only seriously rained off on one morning. I enjoyed most of it, though being sworn at was a new experience for me I have to say! It's good to be back and I'm enjoying being able to think of myself a little for the first time in nine days!

Today has been wonderfully warm and we've been sitting out on the deck in the sun. I fetched the thermometer from the shade at the NW side of the house and it was registering 56°F. I left it in the sun where we were sitting and it rose to 100°! Amazing. This is the rather contrasty view from our deck in the bright sunshine.

Nine days of back-blipping now to do - not now as I'm going back into the sun, but gradually over the next day or so, from Glasgow, Dumfries, Durham and Melrose. Do look in if you can be bothered!
