Wilderness
Red hot again today, so this afternoon Ollie and I went off for an explore in the wilderness! It is a nicely overgrown wilderness, full of wildflowers, willow herb and brambles. It is quite boggy underfoot, but with a maze of little tracks used by cats, pheasants and hedgehogs.
We also accompanied Mike to the beach to collect some sand, with permission, for his next project. He is making an extra mooring for the boat, so is filling an old tractor tyre with scrap iron and concrete. Messy and hard work in this heat, but it means he will be able to moor in the bay below the house, rather than have to use the anchor.
