On the Radio....again!

I decided to pop over to Uppermill today as the Yanks were in town. I read, slightly too late to do anything about it, that a Lancaster Bomber was doing a fly past....I really need to get dressed earlier!...so I missed that. But, I had been awake since 6am when my alarm went off. My interview with Mike Shaft was due to be on Radio Manchester and his programme is on between 6-9am. I dozed until I heard my name then I recorded it on my phone....it is very weird to hear your own voice. I didn't realise I sounded like THAT!!!!....eek.

Anyway, there was absolutely no-one free to play out today so I had to go on my own. I arrived in Uppermill just as the parade of US jeeps was passing. They closed the road just in front of me so I had a great view as they all passed by me. There were quite a few people dressed up and I took a few pics as I wandered around. The extra is of Charlie in his little jacket and tie.

Now I'm quite tired after my early start listening to the radio...sigh, it is hard keeping up with this fame malarky.......he he he he. It has been a great week and I'm back to work tomorrow :)
