How much fun.....

can you have in a car park with a shopping trolley.......oh, and six other blippers???

The answer....lots and lots! 

But...let's start at the very beginning: I joined six other blippers (Syetuttle, Terraldino, Kathymay, Chrissie1butter DramaQueen and Green56) for a tour of the London Street Fire Station today. The magnificent building has been empty since 1986 and it is being sold off to a luxury hotel chain. Although it is sad that it is being sold, it is great that it is being brought to life again. There are only a few tours left this month before it closes it's doors as a fire station forever.

Our guide, Jonathan Schofield, was full of the history, the life, the stories and the facts about the place. It was fascinating. About thirty eight fire families used to live there, there was a police station, a bank, an ambulance station and a coroner's court...he had stories about it all.

What every good blip meet involves is...food and drink! This was my third blip meet within a week and they have all included food and drink (and all been most excellent). So we mooched along to the Richmond Tearooms and had a rather yummy lunch. After a week of being good I succumbed to cake....just don't tell LadyG he he he 


We needed to walk after eating so we went in search of a good spot for a group photo. The huge street art paintings were the perfect backdrop....but none of us had taken a tripod. Now, this is where the shopping trolley comes in. We tried it every which way to find the best angle to get us all in and the huge painting. Only photographers will share in the satisfaction of getting that shot with what you have and not all the paraphernalia of a studio equipment. It was great fun.

As people had to leave there were only Chrissie1butter and Green56 and me left....we may have succumbed to a sneaky ice cream...well it was a hot sticky day!!...we had a wander around until we too had to go. What a fabulous day....what a marvellous bunch of blippers! 

I do have one question for DramaQueen though...What happened to the crack pie???
