The old bandstand

There are many examples of decay and neglect in the village.  In the heyday of tourism in the early years of the twentieth century, Edwardian ladies would walk away from the thermal spa down along the river to the 'laiterie,' the old milking parlour and picnic spot.  A band would have played at the wooden bandstand but it hasn't seen a band for a very long time.
