A Farang!

"Farang" is the general Thai word used for anyone with white skin (aka, European ancestry.) However, the word is more generally used as foreigner, anyone who is not Thai.

Adults and kids alike can be caught mumbling or shouting "Farang!" as I walk by. In Bangkok, the people who look like me are more common, but out in the country, kids are more curious about people who look different. Some kids are afraid of me and others want to come up and touch my skin and hair.
