Dolly, Kiki and the critical care

Kiki is still not doing so great, she only picking at her food and not eating much at all! Lewis took her back up to the vet this morning and she prescribed her a strong opioid, buprenorphine, which should help sort out if pain is the issue or not! Lewis told me she actually considered prescribing methadone because it can be given orally, but decided not to because it can affect stomach's sphincter in rabbits, something we want to avoid! We've got the buprenorphine injections at home for her, but we'll see how she goes, she was quite spaced out on the last one, but we can give a slightly lower dose for the next one! We have managed to get her to eat a little bit this evening, a couple of rolled peas, a few raisins and cherries, and some critical care! We gave the critical care by syringe, but I tried it off a spoon and she took it that way, although she was happier taking it off my finger! I am worried as she's just not herself, but we're doing everything we can to get her feeling better!
