Time to head for home after an enjoyable, but busy, few days away. We re-packed the car and caravan yet again, walked down to the River Witham by Kirkstead Bridge with Louie and waved goodbye to MrM's dad.

It took longer than usual to drive back north. Despite two previous breaks, Louie started barking and whining enough to convince us that he really, desperately needed to get out of the car again. So we left the A1 north of Gateshead and drove around for a while before finding somewhere suitable to stop. Once out of the car, Louie simply mooched around and looked at us as if to 'what on earth did we stop here for?'. So it was back in to the car, and back to the queue on the A1.
