Democracy, by night

So today was a little different to the rest of the holiday.

It started perfectly normally, we headed back to Cascais to soak up some sun on the beach -which we did- but not for very long.

I have unfortunately fallen quite ill with some sort of stomach bug and spent most of the day either in bed or in the bathroom.

However, not wanting the whole day to be wasted and feeling very bad for my lovely girlfriend who had spent all day out of the sun and looking after me, I dragged myself out of bed for an evening stroll.

As it happens, our apartment is a five minute walk away from the Assembleia da Republica, the Portuguese parliament.

It is a rather stunning building and so whilst I was in doubt, I did manage to find a blip today!
