Change of plans

Today we had to make a quick change in our plans for vacation by leaving Gotland a few days earlier. Booking seats on the ferry with short notice is seldom a problem, but it’s sometimes impossible to get a place for your car.  This evening we spent three hours in the standby queue.  At the time of departure, there was an unfriendly red X at the standby gate.  See today’s extra.  But a few minutes later they managed to take ten standby cars on board. We were car number eight.
