Ullswater from Glenridding Dodd

After yesterday I stayed close to home - I was reminded of Paulo Coelho's 'Alchemist' and decided to go up this fell that I've looked at often but never been up; I'd usually go the other way onto Sheffield Pike. It was sheep shearing time at Glencoyne Farm (extra). I don't know how I forget but it seems that every year I manage to find a walk which reminds me how soaked you get walking through wet bracken. The showers got more frequent so I came down a different way on an unmarked path and as I got to a clearing in the trees and saw strange light effects (extra). It was too wet for the rainbow to stay in the sky! Weird.
