How quickly the week passed.

In the morning the rain was drumming it down. We packed up and shipped out taking the coast road for a last look for that elusive otter, part Ulva Island that is now up for sale for £4.25m.

The ferry ride was wet and blowy and exhilarating. Something mournful and sad seeing Mull rise up in its cloud-shrouded mass and then sink with the passing sea-miles.

The sun came out pretty much as we reached Oban but the rain continued to stair-rod it down as we took the little road up Glenn Orchy beside the roaring river. The Glencoe road was a stream of traffic and water but things improved beyond Crianlarich as we moved inexorably from the west coast and the Highlands.
