Confounded by Charlotte

In a last minute sacrifice to the house viewings I pulled up the broad beans, rusty and on their last pods anyway.

Behind them right up next to the house I had put in a row of charlottes  - a lovely waxy salad potato. My two other plantings of potatoes succumbed to the blight a month and more ago but somehow these escaped. The row was a last thought as a way to use up the little seed potatoes left. But they have yielded a fine crop - these are the best - although with quite a lot of Justine-ing (Greening lol).

Funny the way a garden will keep throwing surprises at you right through the year.
