Meetings

This afternoon I went in to Edinburgh to meet up with a friend who lived in Tokyo for five years. He gave me lots of advice on business etiquette, told me of a couple of contacts who may be very valuable as well as listing more fun things to do there when we're not working. It's rare to keep in touch with a former student, which is a shame since it was good to learn how his career and life has progressed since he left university. After leaving him at the bus station, I just had time to get down to Waverley to meet our young German visitor and her friend who had been hill-walking near Pitlochry. It's great being surrounded by such energetic young people, but very tiring!
