Run Julie Run!

The day began with the serious Classic Event, the finale to the Tour Week but then after lunch back at Lagganlia, it was time for the fun Balloon Relay.  It is tradition for the new young coaches to wear fancy dress but, as there was only Fiona this year, the others came out in support and ransacked the charity shop in Aviemore for outfits. This is Julie in a fetching dressing gown with matching  Minnie Mouse bag.  We had to be more subdued than usual because the BBC were filming the remake of the children's tv programme Raven in the next field.  Eight years ago when we were here, our young athletes had their photo taken with the original Raven.

As it was the last night, we had posh dinner/date night and then our Awards Evening as well as a talk by our four young coaches who had competed at JWOC this year. 

The youngsters have worked and played, hard, fair and safe this week (our motto) and been a lot of fun.
