Garden Cottage
We said goodbye to the Junior Athletes and Coaches this morning in between clearing all the lodges, returning furniture, hoovering and reuniting lost shoes and socks and running gear with owners. Folks went off in cars, buses and by plane and train with most heading towards Deeside for this week's Scottish Six Days Event.
Tony and I finished up about 12.30 and stopped off at the Boathouse for coffee and cake and to use their wi-fi, then we were off around the Cairngorms to Ballater, the location for the Event Centre. We picked up our race numbers and called in at the camp site to check on those youngsters who were awaiting the arrival of parents. They were happy playing football and socialising.
We stocked up at the Co-op and headed here to Glen Tanar to our very lovely home for the week, Garden Cottage. Once the car was unloaded, it was time for a cuppa in the walled garden. It is a pretty cottage, probably the Estate Gardener's House once upon a time, very modern and comfortable inside. The wi-fi is slow which will impact on my photographs being uploaded at the event this week, but what the heck.
