Cinema
This afternoon we went to see Baby Driver, a terrific film with a great soundtrack to which the action is neatly and wittily synchronised.
In the cinema reception there were signs bearing great news:
"due to circumstances out of our control all films will be starting at the allocated ticket times without any adverts or trailers. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
Despite these glad tidings, about one-third of the audience arrived after the film had started, many using large mobile phones' screens as torches, to fumble their way around the auditorium. How do so many people manage their lives if they can't turn-up on time for something they have chosen to do at a specific time stated when they buy their tickets?
