White Water Rafting
I picked up Kiwilizzie this afternoon and we headed for the Ariki Falls, as she said ages ago that she didn't know how to get there by car.
When we arrived, we couldn't get down to the rocks due to previous flooding, so went as far as we could and took pictures from there. While we were there, these rafters came down the falls, and looked like they were having heaps of fun. Talking to the man from Ultimate Descents (the rafting company), he told me that these rafters started at Dellows Bluff, and stop at the Ariki Falls for a look at it, before proceeding down the river. It's a two hour trip on the river from start to finish. And what a perfect day for rafting, with the sun out and currently 20.4 degrees (at 3pm).
