Rannoch Moor
Drove up to Skye for my aunt Una's funeral. Nina Simone was an ideal travelling companion for the drive through Glencoe. Resolved to walk the West Highland Way before much longer. But not in January.
Met up with my cousins and their kids (all adults now) at my aunt's house in the evening. Lovely to see everyone, albeit in such sad circumstances. There have been many, many ceilidhs (Gaelic for a get-together) in that house over the years. My aunt was renowned for her Highland hospitality. Tonight was bittersweet, but at times like this it's good to be together.
