The park

It has been a hot day.  Most houses in the old village are built on the narrow streets that lead up to the church.  They mostly have no terrace or garden so the deep shade of the ornamental park is most welcome. There are often people down there with a book.  I have kept out of the heat with a book and the cricket commentary.
