It was hot today...

...so much so that my acrylics were drying before I could get them on the black card .

I had started this from some pictures I saw in my head while in the potting shed. This is nothing like what I would normally do, but I wanted to do this one. Try it out.

In the end I had to get some of my more expensive Golden Fluid Acrylics out to finish this off.

So, it didn't work out quite how I had intended. I don't think I will be doing another like this.

I much prefer using paint rollers and palette knives to paint acrylics. Using just solely brushes is too much for my arthritic hands. A tiny bit of brush work is fine, but rollers and knives are so much easier.

I am looking for some smaller rollers so I can use them for smaller pictures. I found some micro rollers online but they were expensive! I had spent the first half of the afternoon trying to cobble up something that would be a tiny roller to apply paint but failed miserably!!!

Maybe Brain will have some ideas when I wake up tomorrow morning!!!
