Nuns in the Sun

We thought we'd better have a trip into Granada since we're so close but we didn't bother with the Alhambra as apparently you have to queue for days/book online well in advance/drive really early to some particular ticket machine in some particular car park to get in these days (Plus we have been to Granada before though neither Beck nor I can remember exactly when and, given that I normally rely on her for that kind of information we'll have to settle for 'some time ago.' Presumably it's not changed in the meantime.) Instead we found the hotel we'd stayed at previously and if we didn't find the actual nearby cafe where we'd enjoyed churros and chocolate then we at least found a nearby cafe where we were able to enjoy churros and chocolate. Then we rode around on a little hop-on hop-off tourist bus cunningly disguised as a tiny train, had a wander through the Albaicin, bought tiles and stocked up on treats at the supermarket in the basement of El Corte Ingles. It was very hot. And I didn't take many photos. Katie made me take this one though - she's very fond of nuns. The temperature on the bus back to Monachil reached 45 degrees so we hid in our cave for the rest of the afternoon (with a big book about reggae) - tomorrow we flee to the (relative) cool of coast...

not a very 'holiday' song..
