Los Cahorros

Up early to hike up Los Cahorros before it got too hot, though it was still pretty brutal as we climbed up and out of the gorge at the end. The scenery was spectacular though and the climb was sandwiched between a scary earlier section along the river - featuring a very precarious-feeling steel rope-bridge and much hands and knees crawling - and a long. slow descent back into Monachil where the landscape opened out before us and Katie - off out in front - looked like Laurie Lee setting out to explore the wilds of Southern Spain. Afterwards we went to Tito and Sobrina's taverna and ordered loads of fried food before dragging ourselves back to the cave for a lie down...
