Where's the mouse?

I've come to Holland and found the stairs but no mouse!

Arrived at no. 2 son's house yesterday. It is wonderful, very stylish and full of charm ... except for the stairs.
They are beautifully made. However, as with many stairs in the older homes here, they are steeper and narrower than I am used to. In this particular home they are also winding! !! and I am scared of heights.
Never mind we are all looking forward to a good holiday and don't mind staying on the ground floor for most of the time.
