Motor Museum

The rain would not let up, so we went over to Haynes Motor Museum this afternoon. It is quite a time since I have been there and the renovations have made this museum a very smart, spacious and spectacular place to go!
The children were particularly taken with this American fire truck cum ambulance. A video on a nearby wall showed how it looked when on the road - and how it sounded too!
They tried on a few dress ups and sat in an old car together, giggling away and enjoying themselves hugely! There were cars from the 1920's up to the 1980's - I'm afraid I recognised most of those in the 1960's section!!
A visit to the shop was obligatory on the way out, of course! C. chose a model racing car and B. a Beetle with flowers painted on it! (I remember those too!).
