Snapped
We experienced a 'Weather Event' last night, which included gale force winds and torrential rain. My house came through unscathed, with no flooding or damage done. I walked down to the lake, and hey presto, this poplar tree snapped off at the base, while another one down the line was left with it's roots in the air. Wanaka is lucky in that the lake has been very low, so the water had somewhere to go. Our famous tree still isn't back in the lake!
