Forter Castle, Glenisla

Decided to go out for a drive this afternoon in the hope that the weather might improve, but it didn't so we came home earlier than planned!  

This is Forter Castle in Glenisla which has lovely views over the surrounding countryside.  Originally built in 1560, but burnt down in 1640 and not rebuilt again until the late 1980s.  It's used now as a wedding venue.

The grey skies never cleared and the wind was quite wild and cold, so no chance to get out of the car for a short walk as we'd hoped.  Now home with the heating on as the outside temperature is 16 º - more like winter than summer:-)  Hope it's better wherever you are.
